Programs
Nourishing families.
Teaching, mentoring,
opening doors.
Our programs are built to hand off to one another. A child who comes for a meal can stay for tutoring. Sports and recreation can open conversations with mentors and community professionals, helping young people imagine new possibilities.
01 · Essentials
Food and clothing, offered the way you would offer them to family.
Hunger is the first barrier to everything else. Before a child can concentrate, compete or dream, they have to eat.
Food distribution. Meals and groceries shared with hungry children and the households they belong to. No paperwork theatre, no sermon attached, no line to be photographed in.
Clothing distribution. School clothes, shoes and everyday wear — so that a young person walks into a classroom without a reason to shrink.

Distribution days, sites and quantities are coordinated with our partners and neighbors. We will publish confirmed details here rather than estimates.
02 · Learning
Tutoring that meets a student exactly where they are.
Elementary, middle and high school. Reading, math, assignments and the quieter skills — how to start, how to keep going, how to ask for help without shame.

College preparation
For students who want it, we walk the path with them: what courses matter, what an application asks for, how essays get written, what deadlines look like, and who to ask about financial aid.
We do not promise admission, placement, scholarships or financial awards, and we will never imply that we can arrange them. What we offer is preparation, encouragement and company — the work still belongs to the student.
Community guest speakers
Professionals from the community sit with our young people and talk plainly about their work: what they do all day, what it pays in satisfaction, what it cost to get there, and what they wish someone had told them at fourteen.
Careers stop being vocabulary and start being options once a child has met someone who holds one.
03 · Mentorship
The adult who is still there next month.
Mentorship here is not a workshop. It is a relationship with a long memory — someone who knows which test is coming, which sibling is sick, which win deserves a phone call.
Consistency over intensity. A mentor who shows up modestly and reliably does more for a child than a spectacular one-off ever will.
Encouragement with specifics. Praise lands when it names the actual thing: the paragraph that got clearer, the free throw that finally dropped, the hard conversation handled well.
Volunteers who work directly with children will complete screening before being placed. Child safety comes before speed.

04 · Horizons
Field trips, picnics, and days a child remembers.
Some of the most useful things we do look, from outside, like simple fun. They are not. A day outside the usual few blocks rearranges what a young person believes is available to them.
- Zoo visits
- Amusement parks
- Local entertainment outings
- Family picnics
Picnics belong to the whole household: a shaded table, enough food, nothing to organize. Parents and grandparents carrying a heavy year get an easy afternoon, and children see their family relaxed in public.
05 · Sports & recreation
Teams teach what a lecture cannot.
Showing up on time. Losing without quitting. Winning without cruelty. Trusting a teammate who let you down last week. Sport is a classroom with better weather.
- Flag football
- Basketball
- Soccer
- Swimming
- Skating
- Bowling
Swimming carries a particular weight in South Florida: it is a life skill long denied to many Black families, and water confidence is safety as much as recreation.
Seasons, fields, pool access and equipment depend on partners and donated gear. Equipment and transportation help goes a long way here.

What we do not promise
We would rather under-claim and over-deliver. On this site you will not find guaranteed outcomes, guaranteed scholarships, guaranteed college admission or guaranteed placement of any kind.
We also do not publish schedules, locations, counts or results we have not confirmed. When a program day is set and a site is secured, it will appear here — not before.
